APIASF and Founding Sponsor Wells Fargo Present Jump Start College Tour at Portland Community College

College Tour Boosts Higher Education Access for Local Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) High School Students

The Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF), the nation's largest non-profit organization devoted to providing college scholarships for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs), will host the Jump Start College Tour at Portland Community College on April 29, 2017 from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. The free event, which is part of a national series presented by founding sponsor Wells Fargo, AT&T, and Target, will offer high school students and their families the opportunity to:

"Thanks to ongoing investment from our founding sponsor, Wells Fargo, as well as AT&T and Target, the Jump Start College Tour continues to support cities like Portland with the fastest growing AAPI communities" said Neil Horikoshi, APIASF President and Executive Director. "As rising tuition costs make college even more out of reach for communities nationwide, this series reaches underserved students with important information to help increase access to higher education and accelerate their success long-term. We thank Portland Community College President Mark Mitsui for his leadership and support of college access and AAPI student success as our host for this event" Horikoshi said.
