In 2006, Boosaba Pananon from Silver Spring, Maryland was selected to be one of 200 students who received a scholarship from APIASF. Just like her fellow Scholars, Boosaba demonstrated in her application a desire to give back to her community and to make a difference for others.

Did you know that nearly 50 percent of all Asian American and Pacific Islander students enrolled in higher education are attending community colleges? To help share their stories, APIASF provided video cameras to some of these students to document their experience on and off-campus.
