APIASF / Farmers Scholar Events

Farmers Insurance recently hosted a series of events for APIASF / Farmers Scholarship Recipients in five key cities - Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Paul and San Jose. Each event was hosted by Farmers District Managers and provided an opportunity for local agents to meet some of the Scholars they are supporting.


Farmer's Insurance Award Event at

Los Angeles, California

The Los Angeles area APIASF / Farmers Scholarship Recipients met at the Farmers Corporate office on July 20 for a reception hosted by District Managers June Chern and Zoom Nguyen and Director of Multicultural Marketing Daniel Chang. After receiving their certificates, Scholars were able to share their appreciation and future plans with guests.

Farmer's Insurance Award Event at

San Francisco, California

APIASF / Farmers Scholar Recipients and Farmers representatives gathered on July 29 for a reception at Zeum: San Francisco's Children's Museum. Farmers District Manager Irene Zhang and APIASF Board of Directors Member Rod McLeod presented students with certificates of recognition. The program also featured excerpts from the Farmers Across the Waves video series that chronicles the history and accomplishments of Asian Americans.

Farmer's Insurance Award Event at

Seattle, Washington

District Manager Gary Blake hosted a reception for the APIASF / Farmers Scholarship Recipients at a local agent office in Seattle on July 30. Local Farmers agents joined APIASF / Farmers Scholar Vu Nguyen and his family to recognize his scholastic achievement. After the program, agents spent time learning more about Vu's plans to pursue a degree in computer science at Washington State University.

Farmer's Insurance Award Event at

St. Paul, Minnesota

On August 4, APIASF / Farmers Scholarship Recipients joined Minnesota State Senator Mee Moua in the State Senate Chamber to accept certificates of achievement. As the highest serving Hmong-American, Senator Moua provided words of wisdom for the Scholars and presented each student with a certificate from Governor Tim Pawlenty. In addition to the local Farmers agents, District Manager H.C. Huynh and Minnesota State Executive Director, Pierce Locke, was also in attendance.

Farmer's Insurance Award Event at

San Jose, California

San Jose City Councilwoman Madison Nguyen hosted Farmers representatives and APIASF / Farmers Scholarship Recipients at City Hall on August 25 to recognize the Scholar's achievements. Farmers District Manager Vincent Le presented recipients with certificates of recognition and shared each Scholar's college plans with guests. After the program, Councilwoman Nguyen made time to speak with each Scholar individually.
